Generate professional product images, hero banners, and logos using AI.
PalySales includes built-in AI image generation powered by Google Gemini models. Create product photos, hero banners, and marketing visuals without a professional photoshoot.
Where to Access Image Generation
AI image generation is available anywhere you see an image upload area in the dashboard. Look for the Generate with AI button (sparkles icon) next to upload areas:
- Products — when adding or editing product images
- Storefront Visual Editor — for hero banners, section backgrounds, and gallery images
- Store Branding — for your store logo (in Settings → Storefront → Branding)
- Categories — for category cover images
You can also browse all your previously generated images by clicking the AI Library button (gallery icon) next to any image upload area.
Models
PalySales automatically selects the best model based on your input:

If you upload a reference image, PalySales uses the higher-fidelity Pro model to preserve visual details from your reference. Text-only prompts use the faster Flash model.
How to Generate Images
- Click Generate with AI on any image upload area
- A modal opens with these options:
Prompt
Type a description of the image you want. If you're generating for a specific product or storefront section, the prompt is pre-filled with context from your store (product name, description, store category, etc.).
Style
Choose the visual style for your image:

Reference Image (Optional)
Upload an existing image as a reference. The AI will generate new images that match the style, colors, and composition of your reference while following your text prompt. This is great for maintaining a consistent visual brand.
Advanced Options
Expand the Advanced Options section for more control:

Number of Images
Choose how many images to generate in one batch:

- Click Generate and wait a few seconds
- Review the generated images in the results grid
- Click on an image to select it — it's saved to your store's media library
Credits
Image generation uses a credit system:
- 1 credit = 1 generation (regardless of how many images are in the batch)
- Your available credits are displayed at the bottom of the generation modal
- Each generation is logged with the model used, prompt, style, and cost

AI Library
Every image you generate is saved permanently. To browse your generated images:
- Click the AI Library button (gallery icon) next to any image upload area
- Browse your full history of generated images
- Click any image to use it
Image Versioning
For products, PalySales tracks image versions. Every time you generate a new image for a product, the previous version is saved in the version history. You can browse versions and revert to an earlier image.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific in your prompt — "A red ceramic mug on a marble countertop with morning sunlight coming from the left" works much better than "coffee mug"
- Use reference images — if you have a brand style, upload a reference to keep generated images consistent
- Try Variations mode — instead of tweaking your prompt manually, let the AI explore different angles and scenes
- Match your storefront — if your storefront uses a minimal theme, generate images with the Minimal style for visual consistency
- Use context — when generating from a product page, the AI already knows your product details and creates more relevant images
