How customers can reach your AI assistant from your storefront.

Your PalySales storefront includes a built-in way for mobile visitors to start a WhatsApp conversation with your AI assistant.

What Currently Exists

When customers visit your storefront on a mobile device, they'll see a floating green WhatsApp button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Tapping this button opens the WhatsApp app with a pre-filled message to your business number.

This is not an embedded chat widget — it's a direct link to WhatsApp. The conversation then continues in WhatsApp with your AI assistant handling it.

How It Works

  1. A customer visits your storefront (e.g., your-store.palysales.com) on their phone
  2. They see a green circular button with a chat icon in the bottom-right corner
  3. They tap the button
  4. WhatsApp opens with your business number pre-loaded
  5. The customer sends a message and your AI assistant responds

Note: The floating WhatsApp button is only visible on mobile devices. On desktop, customers can use the WhatsApp link in your storefront's header or contact section.

Requirements

For the WhatsApp button to appear on your storefront:

  1. Your storefront must be enabled (go to Settings → Storefront in the left sidebar and toggle it on)
  2. Your store must have a phone number saved (set during store creation, or update in Settings)
  3. The customer must be on a mobile device

Checkout via WhatsApp

Your storefront supports a WhatsApp checkout method. When enabled, customers who add products to their cart can tap a button that sends their full cart to WhatsApp as a message, where the AI processes it as an order.

You can customize the message template in Settings → Storefront → Checkout & Payments. The default template is:

Checkout Methods

You can configure which checkout options customers see on your storefront. Go to Settings → Storefront, scroll down to the Checkout & Payments section:

Embedded Chat Widget (Planned)

A fully embedded real-time chat widget is planned for a future release. This will allow customers to chat with your AI assistant directly on any website without leaving the page. Stay tuned to the Changelog for updates.
